A-Plus Construction Services Corporation was started in March 1994 with four employees. Since then, it has grown to a staff of 25 surveyors, engineers and technicians. We believe that we have a team which can meet the requirements of any large or small scale survey project. Our principle employees are: Michael Coleman, PLS. Mr. Coleman has over 22 years of experience in civil/structural engineering and
land surveying. As President, he is responsible for the direct supervision of
survey personnel, both office and field, as well as serves as Project Manager on
several large survey projects. Mr. Coleman is a 1981 Civil Engineering graduate of University College Cork in
Ireland. He holds active registration as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in
Massachusetts (1993), Maine (1997) and Rhode Island (1995). Mr. Coleman has directed survey services on many highway, bridge, tunnel, buildings,
landfills, hazardous waste and utility projects. The experience he has gained on
these projects coupled with his experience on over 400 other surveys has given him
a broad knowledge of the field and office procedures required for the performance of
property boundary, topographic, hydrographic, accident, title insurance, land court,
construction layout, utility and photogrammetric surveys. To view a listing
of these projects, please Click here. James L. Nabstedt, PLS Mr. Nabstedt has been employed with A-Plus Construction Services Corp.
since its inception and has served as Survey Manager on a number of large scale
projects all over the New England area. Mr. Nabstedt's responsibilities include topographic and construction surveying,
field data collection, downloading of data, computation and manipulation as well
as base and final plan preparation. He is not only familiar with Field Survey
Procedures, but is also a valuable asset to the CADD Department with an intimate
knowledge of all the latest in computer software availability. He is fluent in the
use of AUTOCAD, Softdesk, SUP-R-Rom Survey Pack (HP-41), Starnet 6 (Least Squares
adjustment program) and a wide variety of survey instruments. Currently, Mr. Nabstedt is Project Manager for A-Plus on the MBTA Greenbush
Project, a 18 mile rehabilitation of the Old Colony rail line which runs through
the South Shore. His duties include both office design work and directing the field

has worked on, Click here. Barry M. Lines Mr. Lines was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Survey Engineering from the University of New Brunswick in 1996. He has his Surveyor in Training (SIT) Certification and is highly qualifed with both instruments as well as computer systems. Since coming to A-Plus Construction Services Corp. in 2002, he has served as the project manger for multiple construction and residential projects. His tasks include performing calculations, researching and calculating property boundary lines, producing topograghic, as-built and plot pans as well daily coordination of survey crews. Click here. John C. Goosetrey Mr. Goosetrey was issued an Associates Degree in Civil Engineering from the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston in May of 1989. Prior to completing his ASsociate's Degree, he was qualified by the State of Maine as an Engineering Technician and as a Massachusetts Class A Concrete Technician in 1988. He completed AUTOCAD certification at Maine Technical Services in Yarmouth, Maine in November of 1991. He is an active member of Local 4E Surveyor with the International Union of Operating Engineers. Mr. Goosetrey joined A-Plus Construction Services Corp. in 1986 as a survey party chief, a position he still fills in conjunction with serving as senior construction engineer. Click here. Ryan J. Hughes Mr. Hughes was issued a Bachelor of Science in the field of Architectural Engineering Technology from
Vermont Technical College in 2002. While pursuing this degree, he completed summer internships with
A-Plus Construction Services Corp. Upon graduation, he accepted a full-time position with the firm. Mr. Hughes has worked in the field of survey since 1999, when he began his career as a junior drafter. Today he is a very accomplished surveyor having had experience in all facets of survey in that time period. His work today includes research, fieldwork, office calculations and plan development Mr. Hughes is a highly skilled CADD technician as well as an effective instrument person. He is qualified on
a full range of survey techniques including use of a Topcon GTS 603 total station integrated with various data

Click here. Sebastian Brochu Mr. Brochu came to A-Plus Construction Service Corp. in 2004 as an already highly qualified surveyor. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Geomatic, Land Surveyor from University Laval in Quebec, Canda in 1997. He was formally recognized as a Land Surveyor by the Ordre des arpentures-geometre du Quebec, Canada in 2002. Mr. Brochu was responsible for calculations and drawings on both the MBTA Greenbush Project, Hingham and the Power Center Wal-Mart in Plymouth. Danny Lopes Mr. Lopes joined A-Plus Construction Services Corp. in 1994 as an experienced instrument person and party chief.
